Ingredients for Pizza
YEAST
I buy my yeast in 1 pound packages from Sam's. It is much more economical to buy in bulk than to buy the little packets that are sold in the grocery stores. Most food stores have small jars available that are cheaper than the packets of yeast, but by far the best price is the 2-pack pound bags at Sam's (and probably Costco's, too). The bag of yeast is vacuum sealed and once you cut it open, put it in a small container (like the one at left) and keep it in the refrigerator to extend its life.
FLOUR
These are my flour containers. They actually were originally for pool chemicals, but they have been my flour containers for about 10 years and they work great. I have one container for bread flour which a use to make dough for a soft and chewy crust and another container for regular flour that makes my thinner crisp crust (which is the recipe and directions for how to make pizza dough)
I buy 25 pound bags of flour (bread and regular) at Sam's and these covered buckets work very well as keepers of my flour. You may not have need to buy flour in such quantity as this, and a small bag of flour is all you need anyway. I am just sharing what I use.
I buy the gallon can of sauce from Sam's. I like to season the sauce with my own spice blend. Once opened, I save the sauce in jars that I freeze for later ( remember to leave an inch or so at the top of the jar for expansion).
